Overview
This conference is designed to increase understanding and participation in the Immunization Information System (WebIZ), address barriers to immunization access and increase immunization rates through educating providers.

  1. Demonstrate efficiency of the WebIZ system and implement better workflow strategies in their practices.
  2. Influence patients/parents to receive recommended immunizations not just the ones required for school.
  3. Identify the immunization neighborhood in their area in an effort to increase immunization rates.
  4. Advocate for improvement of immunization reimbursement rates.
  5. Respond to an epidemic or pandemic event with the proper preparation and planning.
  6. Provide evidence based immunization information.
  7. Employ proper vaccine storage and handling in the event of a power outage or other emergency situation.
  8. Recognize the childhood and adult immunization schedules and explain the steps necessary to obtain exemptions for immunizations.
  9. Administer travel vaccines with the proper knowledge about which vaccines travelers need.
  10. Set up a standing order process in their practice.

University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

AMA Designation Statement

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences designates this live activity for a maximum of 9.50 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)

These knowledge based activities will provide pharmacists up to 9.50 contact hours or 0.95 CEU.  CE credit information, based on verification of live attendance and completion of the program evaluation, will be provided to NABP within 60 days after the activity completion.  

American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)

The University of Arkansas for Medical sciences designates this live activity for a maximum of 9.50 ANCC contact hours.  Nursing contact hours will be awarded for successful completion of program components based upon documented attendance and completion of evaluation materials.
