Objectives
  1. Discuss the evolution of pharmacy practice in hospitals and health systems and the future role of pharmacists, residents, students and technicians in acute and ambulatory settings
  2. Identify and describe current clinical and operational strategies for optimizing patient care through the appropriate use of medications, personnel, and technology
  3. Discuss the impact of implementing new pharmacy initiatives designed to elevate the level of patient care across the health care continuum
  4. Develop professional and personal growth of pharmacists and technicians

Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and AAHP. University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

These knowledge based activities will provide pharmacists up to 10.25 contact hours or 1.025 CEU.  CE credit information, based on verification of live attendance and completion of the program evaluation, will be provided to NABP within 60 days after the activity completion.
