Partners in Care Conference / Palliative & End of Life Care Provider Education

This 3-day continuing education event will provide clinical and psocial education in the areas of palliative care, pain management, communication and much more.

1. Manage the physical, psychological, and social causes of distress in life limited patients and their families. Distinguish the difference between palliative care & hospice and recognize the appropriate timing of each in the medical care of a patient with serious illness.
2. Develop practical strategies for introducing discussions of a patient’s end of life care plan. Develop practical techniques to improve advance care planning.
3. Cultivate approaches to working with diverse patient populations with different diseases in various settings
4. Identify new laws and regulations as they relate to hospice and palliative practice. Implement processes in their own practices to improve patient care.
