  1. Discuss the opioid epidemic as it relates to our state, health systems and population.
  2. Discuss the issues that have culminated in the opioid epidemic.
  3. Review the opioid epidemic in the early stages of the COVID pandemic
  4. Examine potential steps forward for the opioid epidemic
  5. Define relapse as related to the disease process of addiction.
  6. Analyze and discuss regulatory changes and challenges for healthcare providers related to controlled substances during COVID.
  7. Discuss the work of the National DHHS Pain Task Force
  8. Explain and discuss the 5 concepts to help in the treatment of addiction
  9. Analyze and discuss recent regulatory issues and challenges for healthcare providers related to controlled substances
