ANCC Credit Designation Statement

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences designates this live activity for a maximum of 5.5 ANCC contact hours.  Nursing contact hours will be awarded for successful completion of program components based upon documented attendance and completion of evaluation materials.

1. The participant will describe current and emerging applications of AI in healthcare, and some wider implications for society.
2. The participant will identify key risks and limitations of using AI for medical tasks, such as communication, documentation and decision-support.
3. The participant will evaluation trends and implications of AI for patient safety, professional liability and regulatory policy.
4. The participant will demonstrate effective preparation techniques for high-stakes negotiations.
5. The participant will apply strategies to handle disputes, pivot conversations and maintain focus on resolutions.
6. The participant will summarize the process on conducting a post-negotiation self-assessment for continuous improvement.

ANCC - American Nurses Credentialing Center (5.50 hours)

In support of improving patient care, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
