Annual Parkinson's Symposium

Sunday, April 12, 2026, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM CT, Little Rock, AR

2 hour, hybrid program featuring UAMS experts including neurologists, surgeons, psychologists, and rehab therapists who treat Parkinson's disease (PD). Discussion topics will include surgical innovations in PD, cognition in PD, and exercise for early and advanced PD.

AMA Credit Designation Statement

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences designates this live activity for a maximum of 2.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits^TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

ANCC Credit Designation Statement

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences designates this live activity for a maximum of 2.5 ANCC contact hours.  Nursing contact hours will be awarded for successful completion of program components based upon documented attendance and completion of evaluation materials.

AAPA Credit Designation Statement

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 2.5 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.

1. Review the clinical features of PD and the natural history of the disease.
2. Discuss optimal management of PD using medication, surgery, and other therapies
3. Examine the role of a multidisciplinary approach in optimizing patient outcomes in PD
4. Report the current status of clinical trials for PD and locally available opportunities.
