Community Based Autism Liaison and Treatment Project (CoBALT) advanced team training

The CoBALT project has been going for over ten years now. Our CoBALT teams are asking for updated training to help them be more proficient and competent in screening for developmental delays/autism with more complex cases. We do not have marketing materials as these are existing clinical teams

AMA Credit Designation Statement
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences designates this live activity for a maximum of 10 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits^TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

ANCC Credit Designation Statement
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences designates this live activity for a maximum of 10 ANCC contact hours.  Nursing contact hours will be awarded for successful completion of program components based upon documented attendance and completion of evaluation materials.

1. Participants will be able to recognize at least five symptoms of an autism spectrum disorder in a video of a child and be able to point these out while watching a video of an autism assessment.
2. Participants will be able to name at least three conditions or environmental influences that might confound with an autism spectrum disorder and understand how to ask questions to help differentiate these conditions/influences.
3. Participants will review how to administer and score an autism specific measure
4. Participants will be able to understand how to provide family feedback, and tell families their next steps in executing a plan to provide help for their child.
5. Participants will be able to delineate the requirements for a child in the state of Arkansas to get a formal autism diagnosis and how to complete paperwork for this to occur.
6. Participants will be able to list their state and national resources for families and learn how to provide information to families who come to their CoBALT clinics.
