Overview
Heart Summit seeks to fulfill the educational needs of healthcare practitioners who manage patients with heart disease. The goal of the conference is to address identified clinical challenges, to update practitioners on the latest advances and best practices in cardiac care and to assist practitioners in developing strategies to apply this knowledge to the diagnosis, treatment and/or referral of patients with Cardiovascular Disease.

Objectives
  1. Understand, evaluate and consider emerging technologies that may shape the direction of cardiovascular disease treatment, management and prevention.
  2. Apply evidence based guidelines/practices for the use of alternative options in the treatment of the cardiovascular patient: Hyperbaric Oxygen therapies, MRI imaging for vascular disease without contrast, application of Positron Emission Tomography, treatment of deep vein thrombosis and carotid artery revascularization.
  3. Recognize and apply updated information to the management of atrial fibrillation, glucose monitoring and heart disease in women.
