Overview
This one-day conference will provide health care professionals with the latest updates on advanced stroke care. This program will have a focus on the most up to date practices and challenges that are common for stroke treatment.

Objectives
  1. Describe the meaning of the Joint Commission Certified Stroke Center Designation and its importance to the state of Arkansas.
  2. Discuss the impact of stroke on the state of Arkansas.
  3. Examine the advances in Community Health via the use of Telemedicine technology.
  4. Define the various types of Acute Ischemic Strokes.
  5. Describe how to treat and manage Subarachnoid Hemorrhages (SAH).
  6. Summarize the latest treatment advances for Intracerebral Hemorrhages (ICH).
  7. Examine the new innovations in the treatment of Stroke in the Interventional Radiology Suite.
  8. Describe the role of a Speech Pathologist in Stroke Care.
  9. Identify the roles in the care of Stroke patients in Arkansas.

AMA Designation Statement

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.75 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

ACPE Designation Statement

These knowledge based activities will provide pharmacists up to 6.75 contact hours or 0.67 CEU.  CE credit information, based on verification of live attendance and completion of the program evaluation, will be provided to NABP within 60 days after the activity completion. 

ANCC Designation Statement
