Overview
A condensed update on the new community acquired pneumonia (CAP) guidelines that were released in October 2019.

Objectives
  1. Define community acquired pneumonia, hospital acquired pneumonia and ventilator acquired pneumonia
  2. Recognize common etiology of the different types of pneumonia
  3. Describe risk factors for multiple drug reaction pneumonia
  4. Select appropriate empiric antibiotic therapy
