3rd Annual Neuroscience Conference

The one-day virtual conference will provide health care professionals with the latest updates on advanced stroke care.   This program will benefit Physicians, RNs, Residents, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, APRNs, EMTs and other medical clinicians involved with stroke treatment in the acute and post-acute care areas.  

1. Discuss the structure and internal pathophysiology of strokes.
2. Discuss complications following pregnancy that can lead to a stroke.
3. Examine complications of epilepsy and recent evidence related to strokes.
4. Discuss the COVID-19 incidence in stroke and global impact.
5. Examine current and future guidelines related to stroke care in Arkansas.
6. Discuss PT/OT care for stroke patients.
7. Describe stroke care after arrival in ED.
8. Examine stroke research in Arkansas.

ACPE Designation Statement

These knowledge based activities will provide pharmacists up to 6.50 contact hours or 0.65 CEU.  CE credit information, based on verification of live attendance and completion of the program evaluation, will be provided to NABP within 60 days after the activity completion. 

 ANCC Designation Statement

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.50 ANCC contact hours.  Nursing contact hours will be awarded for successful completion of program components based upon documented attendance and completion of evaluation materials.

AAPA Designation Statement

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 6.50 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.

Physical Therapy

The Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy has approved this program for 6.50 continuing education hours for physical therapists.
