AMA Designation Statement

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

ACPE Designation Statement

These knowledge based activities will provide pharmacists up to 1.0 contact hours or 0.1 CEU. CE credit information, based on verification of live attendance and completion of the program evaluation, will be provided to NABP within 60 days after the activity completion.

ANCC Designation Statement

Speaker: John Jefferson, PT, PhD

Speaker Bio: Dr. Jefferson received his Bachelors of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto, Masters of Science in Biomechanics from the University of Waterloo, and Ph.D. in Orthopaedic and Sports Science from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. He has been a practicing physical therapist for 40 years, and has been teaching Therapeutic Exercise to physical therapy students for over 30 years.

Speaker:  Christopher Walter, PT, DPT, PhD

Speaker Bio: Dr. Walter received his undergraduate degree and Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Central Arkansas. He received his PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences from the University of Utah. He has extensive clinical experience treating patients with stroke and brain injuries across the healthcare continuum and teaches throughout the neuro curriculum in the UAMS’ Department of Physical Therapy. His research aims are twofold: 1.) to improve function and quality of life in older adults and in individuals following neurological disorders by studying how individuals learn and re-learn motor skills, and 2.) to identify disparities in physical activity and functional outcomes in vulnerable populations.
