AMA Credit Designation Statement

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences designates this live activity for a maximum of 3.75 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

ANCC Credit Designation Statement

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences designates this live activity for a maximum of 3.75 ANCC contact hours.  Nursing contact hours will be awarded for successful completion of program components based upon documented attendance and completion of evaluation materials.

ACPE Credit Designation Statement

These knowledge-based activities will provide pharmacists up to 3.75 contact hours or 0.375 CEU.  CE credit information, based on verification of live attendance and completion of the program evaluation, will be provided to NABP within 60 days after the activity completion. 

AAPA Credit Designation Statement

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 3.75 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.

CDR Credit Designation Statement

This activity is designated for 3.75 CDR CPEUs. Completion of this RD/DTR profession-specific or IPCE activity awards CPEUs (One IPCE credit = one CPEU).  If the activity is dietetics-related but not targeted to RDs or DTRs, CPEUs may be claimed which are commensurate with participation in contact hours.  RDs and DTRs are to select activity type 102 in their Activity Log.  Sphere and Competency selection is at the learner’s discretion.


Objectives
  1. Describe the current evidence supporting simulation-based education as a strategy to improve healthcare quality, patient safety, and system performance.
  2. Analyze simulation-based research and quality improvement initiatives to identify mechanisms by which simulation contributes to safer patient care, improved teamwork, and enhanced clinical outcomes.
  3. Develop a research or quality improvement proposal that uses simulation to address a patient safety, clinical performance, or healthcare systems challenge within their own practice environment.

Mitigation of Relevant Financial Relationships

University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Office of Continuing Education adheres to the ACCME’s Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education. Any individuals in a position to control the content of a CE activity, including faculty, planners, reviewers or others are required to disclose all relevant financial relationships with ineligible entities (commercial interests). All relevant conflicts of interest have been mitigated prior to the commencement of the activity.

The 2026 UAMS Centers for Simulation Education Research Day committee invites the submission of abstracts to be presented as Podium presentations or Poster presentations.  Submissions will only be accepted through the UAMS Office of Continuing Education abstract online portal. Abstracts will be peer reviewed and accepted abstracts will be scheduled for presentation at the conference on November 10, 2026 8:00am to 12:00pm.

The theme of the Research Day is "Building Better Practice: Simulation and Quality Improvement in Action," but abstracts from all areas of simulation research will be considered for presentation.

**The deadline for abstract submissions is September 6, 2026 at midnight.**

The structure of the abstract should be as follows:

  • Background (100 words max)
  • Methods (125 words max)
  • Results (125 words max)
  • Conclusion (50 words max)

Word count is 400 max.

Your abstract will not be considered if you have not completed the online financial disclosure form.
