Pathology Update

The activity will provide an update in various topics related to anatomic and clinical pathology. This update intends to increase the diagnosis accuracy and provide practitioners with most recent changes in the areas covered. The audience is given ample opportunity to ask questions during the conference to clarify any questionable issues. All presentation will be given by the experts in the field. 1. Identify the basic components of CMS’ quality payment program including MIPS.
2. Differentiate serous borderline tumor “with additives” from low grade serous carcinoma.
3. Appraise the current definitions of benign, borderline and malignant ovarian mucinous neoplasia as the current WHO classification.
4. Utilize ancillary testing in melanocytic proliferations.
5. Explain the significance of identifying myeloid neoplasms (MN) that occur in the setting of germline mutations and/or familial syndromes.
6. Recognize the entities currently classified as AML with recurrent genetic abnormalities.
7. Recognize the types of gastric adenomas and their syndromic associations to avoid missing the correct diagnosis.
8. Identify benign reactive conditions that may be confused with lymphoma.
9. Identify the type of molecular tests that can be performed on cytologic samples.
