36th Annual Pediatric Infectious Diseases Update

The 2022 Pediatric Infectious Disease Update, presented by the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, is a two-day seminar held annually for family physicians, general practitioners, pediatricians, pharmacists, and nurses. The course provides in-depth discussion of infectious diseases and highlights new approaches to diagnosis and treatments for infectious diseases seen frequently by practicing general physicians.

Happy Hour:
There will be a complimentary Happy Hour Friday Night at 5:00 p.m. in the Lakeview Room (lower level of the Grandview Conference Center).  For catering purposes, we do require that you RSVP.  Please indicate the number of adults and the number of children under age 12 who will be attending.

Kid’s Club:
Big Cedar Lodge’s Kid’s Club is available for children ages 4-12 from 8:30am – 1:00pm, Friday and Saturday.  The cost is $90 per child per day.  The activities team will teach your child a skill such as fishing, BB guns, or camping!  They will then go and practice what they have learned on an excursion.  Lunch is provided and each child receives a ranger vest, water bottle, cozy critter and outfit.  If you are interested in this service for your child(children), please contact Kid’s Adventure Club at 417-335-2777 and make the necessary arrangements prior to April 1, 2022.

1. Identify and manage neonates exposed to maternal infections including CMV, TB, syphilis, and hepatitis C
2. Determine the appropriate management of children with osteomyelitis, bacterial respiratory infections, and chronic cough
3. Evaluate immunocompromised patients for infections in an outpatient setting.
4. Plan up to date prevention measures and treatments for COVID-19
